The Advanced Studies Program at Paul Smith’s College
The Advanced Studies Program at Paul Smith’s College offers high school students an opportunity to earn college credits while in high school. While these courses are taught through your high school, all instructors are certified by Paul Smith’s College and follow the same syllabus as is used at Paul Smith’s College.
The partnership Paul Smith’s College has created with local high schools provides an added benefit to students and families- the price! Since these courses are taught at your high school, we are able to keep the cost at an affordable rate. With a typical course 3 credit course like English Composition I, Advanced Studies students pay a low rate of $125! A typical Paul Smith’s student pays over $900 for this course.
For helpful information about the transferring of Paul Smith’s credits to other institutions, please review the FAQ guide. For a student who chooses to enroll in a degree program at Paul Smith’s College, the credits earned in high school will be applied towards your major of choice. You may be able to accelerate your studies and complete your degree program early!
